Our CRF (cell renewal factor), also known as cell turnover rate is what keeps our skin cells from building up and allows new skin cells to accelerate to the surface and as we age this process begins to slow down. A regular regime of exfoliation removes the build-up of the hard keratin layer and brings luminosity and clarity to the skin. For oily and younger skin, exfoliation unplugs pores and keeps your skin clear and smooth. For dry and mature skin, exfoliation is essential to help minimize fine lines, remove dryness and recover the youthful radiance of your skin.
Exfoliating in the evening is preferable (before bed) because your skin has time to rest and this way you won’t be applying makeup as you might in the morning. Use warm water and circular motions for about 60 seconds. Do not exfoliate every day, 2-3 times per week works well for most skin types.
Recommended products: ilike Organic Rosehip Exfoliator, Glo Skin Beauty Brightening Polish, Shira Organic AHA Scrub. Each of these products also works as a mask and can be left on for additional time (5-15min).
Exfoliating will also help with the absorption of other skin care products allowing them to penetrate deeper into the skin and work their magic! Once you start exfoliating you’ll notice brighter, more glowing skin and fewer breakouts!
